SDA Silencer
Application:
Vent and blowdown of air, steam, or other gas to atmosphere for when a low pressure drop is desired. Typical applications are:
- Safety valves.
- Station and pipeline blowdown valves.
- Process control valves.
- Turbine, compressor and blower bypass.
- Boiler start-up purge.
- Switch valves.
Design:
Two or more step noise treatment, with each step accomplishing a diffusion and smoothing of the flow, and an overall reduction of noise.
The first stage diffuser provides:
- A sturdy shock absorbing section.
- A transformation of low frequencies to medium or high frequency range.
- The additional stages moderate and smooth the flow while absorbing sound energy.
