This family of separators employs Burgess-Manning's single- (Model 3500) or two-stage separation to remove liquid droplets and solid particles from gas, steam, or air. Liquid loading in the gas should be 10% or less. Designs are generally used in non-slugging applications, and can operate in dry or wet process conditions. Will operate in corrosive environments, at elevated pressures, and temperatures up to 400° F. Differential pressure at start-up is typically 2.0 PSI, increasing with contaminant load over time. Turndown capability is essentially 100%. Single-and two-stage filter separators can be horizontal or vertical. Coalescing ULTRASEP (Model 3900) is typically vartical. Access to filter elements is by full- and reduced-opening closures or blind flanges.
